Our Story

How it all started...

Pastor Kenneth Stephen Lancaster was raised in a Christian home by caring parents. As a child,
he loved going to church, singing with his sister, and joining the church choir from a young age.
During his teenage years, Kenneth was swayed by the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and
the pride of life, which caused him to drift away from the godly principles he had learned. This
led to a life filled with sin, disappointment, drugs, failed relationships, and time in prison.
Kenneth believes that because of his praying parents, God saved his life many times.
Kenneth is a Vietnam-era veteran who was honorably discharged from the United States Air
Force in March 1978. After his discharge, he worked various odd jobs until he was 55, when he
decided to return to college. Kenneth earned his associate degree in exactly two years from Stark
State University and then completed his bachelor’s degree at Malone University in Canton, Ohio.
He also obtained a master’s degree in social work from Case Western Reserve University in
Cleveland, Ohio, and is now a licensed social worker. Currently, Kenneth is enrolled at MTSO
(Methodist Theological School of Ohio) in their MTS (Master of Theological Studies) program,
with a projected graduation date of May 2026.
In March 2020, Kenneth founded the I.M.P.A.C.T. Evangelistic Center, COGIC, Inc.
God is faithful, and on March 31, 2023, the I.M.P.A.C.T. Evangelistic Center COGIC, Inc.,
secured the down payment for the church and began purchasing the property! Kenneth is married
to Christine Lancaster. He is the father of Pastor Julius (Ashanti) Lancaster of Columbus, Ohio,
and grandfather to Julianna, King, Zion Lancaster, Jordin, and Jaevon Travis.
Kenneth adopts his mom’s saying, “Smile, you’re on God’s camera!”, and the Best is yet to
come!
